The Bluewater Community of Mindful Living is happy to announce our annual Winter Mindfulness Retreat at Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center in Vanderbilt, Michigan.
This winter we will offer an optional multi-day extension of our
regular weekend retreat. Enjoy up to five days of mindfulness practice
in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh--sitting and walking meditation,
some silent meals, dharma discussions, recitation of the Five and
the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings, networking with statewide
meditation groups and other activities.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
February 17,18,19,20,21
Song of the Morning Yoga Retreat Center
Vanderbilt, Michigan 49795
It is expected that most people will come just for the weekend with
our usual schedule starting at 5 PM Friday through our concluding Sunday Dinner at 1 PM. We will also offer meditation and activities Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday and Friday. Come when you can and stay
as long as you like.
The cost for the retreat is forty dollars a night plus tax for a bed
in the "Dormitory Domes" including meals. If you stay more than three nights you will receive a 15% discount. Some private rooms are available for an additional cost through the Song of the Morning office.
Come enjoy the deep quiet of the north country in wintertime. Song of the Morning offers eight hundred acres of forest land astride the
pristine Pigeon River and is ideal for meditation. It is about a
four hour drive from Detroit or Grand Rapids. The accommodations are clean and comfortable with heated rooms and extra blankets. Meals will be vegetarian.
Please register with Song of the Morning, office@goldenlotus.org or
by telephone to 989-983-4107.
